The Big Apple Gazette is proud to announce the launch of its Meet the Candidates: Elections 2026 coverage initiative.

As part of our commitment to informing the public and encouraging civic engagement, we will be reaching out to candidates throughout New York City and New York State to provide them with an opportunity to share their campaigns, priorities, and vision with our readers.

Our primary focus will be on candidates seeking office within New York City. We believe voters deserve the opportunity to hear directly from the individuals seeking to represent them, regardless of political party, campaign size, or level of name recognition. While priority will be given to candidates who have officially qualified for the ballot, we welcome communication from all candidates interested in participating.

The purpose of this initiative is simple: to increase civic engagement, encourage informed voting, and provide voters with greater access to the people seeking public office. Through candidate profiles, interviews, and feature articles, we hope to create a resource that helps New Yorkers better understand the individuals running for office and the issues affecting their communities.

In addition to written coverage, candidates may also be eligible to appear on Political Chit Chat, the Big Apple Gazette’s political talk show. The program is distributed through public access television networks across New York City, social media platforms, and streaming services. Candidates who participate will also have access to the recorded interview for use in their own campaign and promotional efforts.

While our primary coverage area remains New York City, we are also expanding our election coverage throughout New York State. In certain cases, we may also consider candidates, issues, and campaigns from outside New York when they have a direct connection to our audience, are of significant public interest, or align with our broader mission of informing and engaging readers.
