NYS Conservative Party Officially Nominates Trump and Vance for 2024 Election

On Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Milleridge Inn in Jericho, New York, the New York State Conservative Party officially nominated former President Donald J. Trump for President and Senator J.D. Vance for Vice President at their Presidential Nomination Convention. Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) accepted the nominations on behalf of Trump and Vance, who were unable to attend due to their campaign schedules.

The event began with the officers of the New York State Conservative Party convening for their state meeting, during which they formalized the nominations of Trump and Vance. Delegates delivered impassioned speeches in support of the nominees, with Ralph C. Lorigo, Chairman of the Erie County Conservative Party, highlighting Trump’s pivotal role in “fixing America again.” Patrick McManus, Chairman of the Bronx County Conservative Party, noted that although he was initially unfamiliar with J.D. Vance, he was greatly impressed by Vance’s embodiment of the American dream after conducting further research.

Following the convention, the Presidential Nominating Reception brought together individuals and organizations from across New York State for an evening filled with dinner, music, and political discussion. During the reception, over 30 law enforcement unions declared their endorsement of the Trump-Vance ticket, according to Gerard Kassar, Chairman of the New York State Conservative Party.

The highlight of the event was Congressman Jim Jordan’s acceptance speech on behalf of Trump. Jordan delivered a powerful address, stressing the importance of returning Trump to the White House and expressing his deep appreciation for the Conservative Party’s unwavering support. His speech focused on the crucial need for more conservative leadership in government, urging attendees to “go out there and vote, get your parents, your neighbors, and friends, and go out and vote on November 5th.”

The consensus of the event was clear: The Conservative Party strongly believes that Trump and Vance are vital to America’s future. With the Democratic ticket now solidified with Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz, the presidential race is expected to be highly competitive. With just 77 days remaining until Election Day, the battle for votes, endorsements, and campaign contributions is intensifying.
