In an election cycle charged with passion and political intensity, one man from the Morris Park section of the Bronx is taking matters into his own hands. Christopher Reid, frustrated by the lack of visible conservative activity in Bronx politics, decided it was time for action. His determination to bring about change has sparked a movement, set to culminate in the largest MAGA rally the Bronx has ever seen.
Reid’s journey began with extensive research into local political organizations and individuals who shared his vision. His search ultimately led him to Gonzalo Duran, vice chairman of the Bronx County Conservative Party. There, he found not just an individual, but an organization already taking bold steps. The Conservative Party’s endorsement of former President Donald J. Trump as their 2024 candidate perfectly aligned with Reid’s mission to strengthen the conservative voice in the Bronx.
The real spark, however, came just weeks earlier when Reid attended Trump’s historic rally at Crotona Park. The event, which drew a massive crowd of enthusiastic supporters, left a profound impact on Reid. Energized by the overwhelming patriotism and unity displayed, he made a personal commitment to keep the momentum alive within his own community. “I was surprised to see there were no Bronx-based organizations involved in the rally,” Reid recalled. “I knew then it was time to change that.”
For Reid, the MAGA movement is about more than just supporting a political figure; it symbolizes a deep-seated love for America and the shared belief in the nation’s greatness. “MAGA, for me, stands for patriotism, love for our country, and yes, for Trump,” Reid explained. “But the symbolism has grown beyond just one man. Movements like Black Lives MAGA and others have emerged, uniting Americans under a common cause.”
With this newfound inspiration, Reid wasted no time in establishing the Bronx is MAGA Coalition. Within days, he was connecting with Bronx-based organizations like the Bronx Republican Party and influential figures like Tina Forte, a strong supporter of the MAGA movement. His first major partnership came naturally with the Bronx Conservative Party, which had already endorsed Trump, making them a perfect fit for Reid’s growing coalition.
Gonzalo Duran echoed Reid’s sentiments, emphasizing the broader symbolism of MAGA. “To me, MAGA represents patriotism, love for one’s country, and putting Americans first,” Duran stated. “The Bronx is ready to show the nation what MAGA truly means.”
Reid’s vision didn’t stop at the Bronx. Recognizing the potential to unite conservatives across New York City, he expanded his network, reaching out to the Manhattan Conservative Party and drawing interest from organizations like the Long Island MAGA Coalition. What began as a local effort has quickly transformed into a city-wide movement, bringing together like-minded supporters from all five boroughs.
With everything now in place, Reid has organized what is expected to be the largest MAGA rally in Bronx history. Set for Saturday, November 2nd, the rally will take place at 943 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx, New York, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The event promises to be a powerful display of Bronx patriotism, as supporters come together to voice their support for Trump’s vision for America.
“This rally is about more than just politics,” Reid said. “It’s about showing that the Bronx has a powerful voice in the MAGA movement. We are here, and we are ready to be heard.”
