On November 18, 2024, the Crotona Park East neighborhood of the Bronx became the center of conservative political activity as members of conservative parties from across New York City gathered for the Viable Candidate Summit. The event, aimed at strengthening the presence and influence of the conservative movement, attracted key figures from throughout the city.
Gonzalo Duran, Vice Chairman of the Bronx County Conservative Party and a hopeful contender for the Conservative Mayoral nomination in New York City, played a pivotal role in organizing the summit. Delegates from Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx joined Duran to discuss strategies and ideas for advancing conservative values in the city’s political landscape.
Notable speakers included influential conservative leaders such as Isaiah Vega, Jose Padilla Jr., Jason Murillo, Tyreek Goodman, Gary Lutz, DJ Elf Seven, Bryan Wigfall, and Emmanuel Findlay Jr. These figures addressed a range of issues critical to the party’s future, including ballot access, petitioning efforts, funding, event planning, political discourse, social media outreach, and the role of community boards.
The summit also brought together a diverse group of attendees, including experienced political advocates, media professionals, and grassroots organizers. Their shared goal was to build a stronger network of support and collaboration to ensure the success of conservative candidates in upcoming elections.
The summit underscored the growing momentum of the conservative movement in New York City, with a focus on effective outreach and the importance of unity within the party as it gears up for the 2025 elections.
