One Day Volver

A city of immigrants—
carrying struggle in one hand,
hope in the other.

Tulips on a mailbox,
wet with rain and memory.

The weight of not being able to hold on,
the dream of one day volver.

We plant roots in concrete
believing that one day,
all of this will be worth it.
