NYCHA Section 8 Waitlist Reopens After Nearly 15 Years

The New York City Housing Authority is reopening its Section 8 waitlist for the first time in nearly 15 years.

Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher

A lottery will randomly select 200,000 applicants to be added to the waitlist.

To apply, submit an application at on.nyc.gov/section8 between Monday, June 3rd, at midnight, and Sunday, June 9th, at 11:59 PM.

Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee placement on the waitlist or receipt of a voucher.
