Bronx, NY — May 8, 2025 — Community advocate and veteran leader Gonzalo Duran is proud to announce the official launch of his new show, Political Chit Chat with Gonzalo Duran, a dynamic program dedicated to bringing local and national political conversations to the forefront.
A bold successor to Duran’s long-running program, Vet Talk with Sergeant Gonzalo Duran, the new show promises to elevate underrepresented voices and spotlight rising political figures shaping today’s most pressing issues. For over a decade, Vet Talk aired across multiple platforms, offering a space for veterans, nonprofit organizations, and community advocates to share their stories. Now, Political Chit Chat with Gonzalo Duran will turn that same spotlight toward politics—both local and global.
“When I started Vet Talk in 2013, the goal was to give veterans a platform to share their stories and highlight organizations serving them,” said Duran. “Over time, politics became an unavoidable part of the conversation. With Political Chit Chat, I want to intentionally lean into those topics and offer viewers fresh insight on the political landscape.”
Originally filmed in the Bronx at Devil Dog USA Inc., Vet Talk grew from a grassroots effort into a full-fledged media program, gaining partnerships with the Albanian American Vision network, BronxNet, and most recently, Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN). Through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Duran and his team adapted, moving between television, podcasts, and radio to keep the show alive.
Launched in January 2025, Political Chit Chat with Gonzalo Duran has already filmed several episodes and is preparing for its official broadcast premiere. The show will feature candid interviews with local politicians, explore key policy debates, and offer the community a rare behind-the-scenes look at the people shaping public life.
“I’ve been in the political world as long as I’ve been filming,” Duran added. “This is a full-circle moment—and I’m thrilled to create a platform where real conversations can happen and local leaders can shine.”
